Get back to doing what you love.
Holistic treatments just for you.

As Osteopaths, we are guided by three key principles that form the basis of all our examinations, diagnoses and treatments:

PRINCIPLE 1

Your body is one unit. We understand that one part of your body can significantly impact the other parts of your body, so our treatments look beyond where your symptoms are directly identified.

PRINCIPLE 2

This means that by correcting imbalances in your body and improving structure, we enable you to function and move at your best.

PRINCIPLE 3

Your body can self-heal and self-regulate, so it’s our job to minimise or remove anything that is physically inhibiting that natural process.

Manual Therapy

Our hands-on manual therapy considers how your entire body functions instead of looking at individual parts or separate symptoms. This may include:

  • Hands-on treatment to release muscles and improve joint mobility

  • Spinal manipulation

  • Articulation

  • Stretching

  • Muscle energy techniques

  • Mobility techniques

  • Massage; and

  • Functional techniques.

Pain Management

Immediate pain because of a physical injury or persistent pain can be caused by various factors including scarring or nerve damage and various health conditions.

 We work with you to:

  • Gain better insight into why the pain is persisting

  • Help you build movement and strength; and

  • Provide advice on treatment options and lifestyle factors such as general health, diet, nutrition, exercise, ergonomics and posture.

Other Treatments

We use complementary therapies to assist you with pain relief and healing.

Our modalities include:

  • Dry needling – where thin needles are gently placed into tight muscles or trigger points to help them relax and create better blood flow, which in turn relieves pain and increases movement.

  • Myofascial cupping – where heated cups are placed around tight or painful areas to assist with more efficient blood flow, muscle release and fluid drainage.

  • Trigger point therapy - where direct digital pressure is placed on key trigger points over a period of time. This practice helps to relieve pain.

Pilates

We now offer clinical pilates to assist with your recovery. Pilates is an exercise system designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s to rehabilitate patients in their hospital beds after World War I. Practiced throughout the world today, Pilates exercises can improve flexibility, posture, strength and endurance, whilst incorporating principles such as breathing and control which allow you to focus on mind-body connection during the exercises.

In a clinical setting, Pilates may be performed on the mat using your bodyweight and small apparatus, or on specialised equipment designed by Joseph Pilates to further enhance rehabilitation.

As Pilates is a low-impact method of exercise, it is suitable for patients of all ages with varying conditions. Such conditions include musculoskeletal pain, joint pain, surgical recovery as well as the pre/postnatal period, or those who would like a personalised approach to exercise.
