Osteopathy is classified as an essential service and therefore is exempt from the recently announced shut down and any social distancing recommendations during consultations. These distancing recommendations do apply in our waiting area.
Wyndham Osteopathy will remain open and be here to provide your treatment needs during this COVID-19 outbreak. Our staff have completed Infection Control Training – COVID-19 provided by the Australian Government Department of Health and by Osteopathy Australia. We are taking additional precautions to ensure the safety of our patients. These measures include
- Our practitioners wash their hands before and after each consultation
- Our treatment tables are sprayed with disinfectant after each consultation
- Our reception staff survey each patient on arrival to ascertain the possibility of infection.
- Our chairs in reception have been spaced to comply with indoor social distancing recommendations
- Patients may wait outside or in their car until their appointment time. Please come to reception first to be checked in and surveyed
- We provide hand sanitiser at reception for patient use
- Patients are welcome to bring their own towel to cover the face area and table if they feel more comfortable
- Patients may leave all their clothes on during the consultation if they prefer. (Please wear appropriate clothing that stretches, active type wear is ideal. Feel free to change clothes at your appointment)
- Where possible only the patient should attend the appointment. Anyone accompanying the patient should wait outside or remain in their car. (Children, the elderly that require assistance or translators are exempt)
If you are experiencing financial hardship but require treatment please let us know, we’re here to help.
In these unprecedented and difficult times we wholeheartedly thank all our wonderful patients for your continued support.
